When lighting from 20 metres up, it's not the lumens that matter—it's the lux.

Lux - the levels of light hitting a surface - is the most important reference for actual use. This is why lux levels, not lumens, are referenced in Australian Standards.

This lighting design was completed for a customer to show projected lux levels at ground level from 6 x 200W HMX LED high mast lights.

LED Lighting Design for Marine Port Container Crane

Mounted high up on a port container crane, the light's got a long way to travel.

Our designers have specified a tight 30° beam angle, which reduces glare and improves uniformity over the working area below.

A constant minimum light level of 100lux is maintained on the ground, regardless of whether containers are present or not.

As with all industrial marine ports, this is a high salinity application.

The HMX will last well, with a stainless steel bracket, fasteners, and marine-grade aluminium body.

It's also fully covered by our five-year no-fuss warranty.
